Amnesty International Make a Will Month

by David Caleb — Posted on 24 March, 2020

Starck Uberoi Solicitors proudly take part in supporting Amnesty International’s Make a Will Month. Over March 2020 we will be offering will-writing services, entirely free of charge. Doing so can make a world of difference to those who are truly in need of our support.

Well-written wills

As many of us get older, we realise just how important it is for our assets to be dealt with accordingly after we’re gone. The thought of one’s estate being handled improperly is understandably scary. Therefore the need to ensure that wills are both effectively written and kept up to date is absolutely key to avoiding such a scenario. A well-written will ensures that your wishes are respected.

How we can help

Starck Uberoi Solicitors recognise this need, and so in collaboration with our desire to help those in the surrounding community, we have decided to take part in Amnesty International Make a Will month. Having achieved accreditation of the Law Society Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), we are fully qualified to meet your high expectations in this area. What differentiates us from other firms by this accreditation is our proven track record, as illustrated by the rigorous assessment process our firm has undergone and passed to reach this qualification. Many will-writing firms do not have this degree of qualification and so operate as will writers in an entirely unregulated fashion. Our highly experienced will writers, headed by our Senior Legal Advisor, David Caleb, provide a far more reliable means of safeguarding your assets and ensuring their proper treatment.

Charitable purpose

Amnesty International Make a Will month is primarily to offer members of the public a free will writing service. We hope that in doing so this provides you with the opportunity to leave a gift to any chosen charity that may be dear to your heart. There is no cost to you, we will do this for free and simply say if you do choose to leave a legacy in your estate to Amnesty International, however small, this will make a difference to many lives worldwide. We at Starck Uberoi strongly feel that this is a very empowering action to take and affords individuals the ability to create a legacy by truly making a difference.

We are extremely proud to participate this year in the Amnesty International Make a Will month, and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our clients who have already contributed to the promotion so far.

We act in cases involving, but not limited to, criminal defence, immigration and civil areas of law. Our speciality is defence work and so naturally we support Amnesty’s campaigns to defend people who have been, or are at risk of being denied their human rights; to free political prisoners; stop death sentences; prevent torture and we intend to uphold basic human rights such as your freedom of speech and your right to privacy.

Do you require free estate planning advice and a will professionally drawn up by a solicitor? We have offices located in BrentfordEalingCanterbury and London Belgravia. For an appointment at one of our offices, email us at or give us a call on 0208 840 6640.
