March 2019 is charity Free Wills Month

by Raminder Uberoi — Posted on 4 March, 2019

For the fourth year running Starck Uberoi Solicitors proudly take part in Free Wills Month. Over March 2019 we will be offering will-writing services, entirely free of charge, to those who are 55+. We also hope to encourage individuals taking part to support a registered charity of their choice. Doing so can make a world of difference to those who are truly in need of our support.

Well-written wills

As many of us get older, we realise just how important it is for our assets to be dealt with accordingly after we’re gone. The thought of one’s estate being handled improperly is understandably scary. Therefore the need to ensure that wills are both effectively written and kept up to date is absolutely key to avoiding such a scenario. A well-written will ensures that your wishes are respected.

How we can help

Starck Uberoi Solicitors recognise this need, and so in collaboration with our desire to help those in the surrounding community, we have decided to take part in Free Wills Month for the duration of March 2019. Having achieved accreditation of the Law Society Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), we are fully qualified to meet your high expectations in this area. What differentiates us from other firms by this accreditation is our proven track record, as illustrated by the rigorous assessment process our firm has undergone and passed to reach this qualification. Many solicitors’ firms do not have this degree of qualification and so operate as will writers in an entirely unregulated fashion. Our highly experienced will writers, headed by our Senior Legal Advisor, David Caleb, provide a far more reliable means of safeguarding your assets and ensuring their proper treatment.

Charitable purpose

As with our involvement in Amnesty International Free WIlls Campaign this month, the purpose of Free Wills Month is primarily to offer members of the public a free will writing service. We hope that in doing so this provides you with the opportunity to leave a gift to any chosen charity that may be dear to your heart. Doing so will quite literally cost you nothing yet could unimaginably benefit innumerable lives. We at Starck Uberoi strongly feel that this is a very empowering action to take and affords individuals the ability to create a legacy by truly making a difference. In upholding our belief in this cause, our solicitors will thus be providing will-writing to those aged 55 and above entirely free of charge.

Who’s involved?

Free Wills Month is supported by a breadth of various well-known charities in the UK. Many of these very same charities depend on legacies for up to half of their income, and so the involvement of companies and individuals alike in this overall cause is paramount to the continued success of these organisations. Some of the charities that are available to those in Ealing alone include, but are not limited to, Mind, Marie Curie, The Royal British Legion, the NSPCC, The Salvation Army, Guide Dogs, Age UK, Blue Cross For Pets, Lifeboats, the British Heart Foundation, Arthritis Research UK, and the Stroke Association.
