Stack Uberoi’s Managing Director Raminder Uberoi recently attended The Notaries’ Society annual conference at the iconic BAFTA in Piccadilly. The standout of the day was listening to the special guest, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally, DBE. Not only was she wonderfully good-humoured, but she showed remarkable balance when deftly addressing complex, topical hot potatoes like transparency in the Church and slavery reparations and the Church’s ongoing fund.
For centuries, the Archbishop of Canterbury has held the unique legal authority to appoint and regulate Notaries Public in England and Wales through The Faculty Office. As a Notary Public, this history feels uniquely personal to me. I have the immense privilege of keeping a branch office located right within the cathedral precinct, making the connection between my daily practice and this rich, centuries-old heritage feel closer than ever
.A huge thank you to the Secretary of the Notaries Society Elaine Standish for putting together such a seamless, inspiring, and wonderful event. A fantastic day of learning, tradition, and connecting with esteemed colleagues in the heart of London.
