Starck Uberoi Solicitors Support the Work of the Churches Conservation Trust
Christmas is widely considered a time for giving, kindness and most importantly, community. We are proud to support the Churches Conservation Trust and the work they do for local communities all over the UK.
Who are the Churches Conservation Trust and what do they do?
On the surface, the Churches Conservation Trust protect historic churches across the UK, raising funds for their restoration and maintenance. However, their work goes far deeper than restoring buildings; they seek to bring communities together by providing a safe and pleasant space for people to gather, and get local people involved in projects to reduce anti-social behaviour and create a sense of community cohesion.
They have restored more than 350 churches in the UK since their beginning in 1969, many of which include architecture, art and archaeological relics up to 1,000 years old. Since then, over 1 million people have begun to use these restored churches as a hub for their local community, for those of all cultures and beliefs to meet. Their central mission is to re-establish churches as important community spaces for a modern day population where everyone is welcome, regardless of background.
So far, we have donated over £10,000 since February 2018, in support of the brilliant work they do for local communities. We look forward to continuing this support long into the future.
