The Ealing Jazz Festival has returned to Walpole Park. This year’s line-up includes well-known British jazz talent and unique artists such as Ebo Taylor.

Staged every year in Walpole Park, the Ealing Summer Festivals bring the local community together through music, food, and family activities. The festival is located twelve minutes from Ealing Broadway Station. If you are looking for a small charming event, look no further than the Jazz Festival. The Beer Festival kicked the Summer Festivals off with real ales, ciders, wines, and a foreign bar stocked up by international micro-breweries.
Courtney Pine and Omar
This year’s line-up includes British-born saxophonist Courtney Pine and neo-soul singer Omar. Courtney Pine’s jazz discography has been very influential in the British music scene. As a multi-instrumentalist, you will see Pine play everything from saxophone to flute. Omar’s career defining hit was There’s Nothing Like This. It received heavy rotation on MTV in the early 90’s. Major jazz talent frequents the festival’s line-up. The first wave artists announced include Ebo Taylor, Stefania Salvador, Jazzical Quartet and many more.
Ebo Taylor
Ebo Taylor is well known by the international jazz community for his afro-grooves and longstanding influence on Ghanaian and ‘70’s African jazz. Taylor’s catalogue is consulted for its old soul to this day. One of his tracks was sampled for Usher’s sixth studio album Raymond v Raymond. He has toured Africa and Europe for almost sixty-five years as a one-man bandleader. Alternatively, the Jazzical Quartet will cover well-known French, Italian and American pop songs in a jazz style. They enjoy interacting with an audience and kindly take requests. Unfortunately, this year’s Jazz Festival will unlikely match last year’s immense star power. Roy Ayers played his biggest hits, such as Vibrations and Everybody Loves The Sunshine, which helped draw nearly 10,000 people. Nonetheless, an evening of exciting jazz awaits you this weekend.
